Q. I was just told that the Bible contains to reference to humor because it is not a joke book. But it is, I thought, a book about spirituality - it talks about love, hate, good sex, bad sex, incest (good and bad apparently), sacrifice, torture, kindness, cruelty, idealism, etc. Why wouldn't it tell us what place humor has in our spiritual growth? Seriously.

A. I don't know about spiritually important, but until you can see the humor in your own existence and experience, I don't think you can be emotionally healthy. -- Regards, John Popelish
